Komachi
Originally from Miyazaki prefecture, Airi Kido began her professional career at the age of 14 as a model for the popular Japanese teen fashion magazine nicola, as well as appearing in a promotional video, for Nintendo’s Smash Brothers video game. As a teenager, she honed her acting skills appearing in multiple stage productions in and around Tokyo. She has had various roles in film and television in Japan, and is best known in the United States for her role as Kimiko in season 5 of HBO’s Girls. Her first lead role in a movie was in Snow Child, which premiered at the Moscow International Film Festival, winning the Russian Film Clubs Federation Award – Special Mention. Airi currently lives in Tokyo.
